The Citizen of the Year Awards is a campaign designed to promote a happier, more optimistic frame of mind by highlighting the stories of volunteers making life betterĀ for others. This year’s theme is INSPIRATIONAL.

The Brakes Trust, in association with our main sponsors Alsters Kelley Solicitors and The Courier, is holding the fourth annual competition to find that individual, often unsung and unrecognised, who does most to brighten up the lives of people in our community.

Our aim is to excite people to take a more positive view of the future in the South Warwickshire area. Quite simply we want YOU to nominate your local hero!

This year the Citizen of the Year Awards is proud to be supporting two charities – Macmillan and Side by Side Theatre.

The campaign culminates in the Citizen of the Year Gala Awards Ceremony at Bridge House Theatre, Warwick School, on the evening of Friday September 26th. The evening kicks off at 7:30 (doors 7:00) and features the individuals who are shortlisted for the award plus live entertainment, music and guests. We look forward to seeing you there!
